Tony Masters vetted out. The team finished 2nd of three teams. It was a great experience with a terrific ride base and a lot of night riding. The event was

 

interesting but a little confusing for the Kiwi riders as they were in the FEI ride but there were other rides going on as well. They are currently in Cape Town,

 

staying at and visiting local vineyards. They head to Walvisbaai in Nambia tomorrow and it looks good for an 80km ride there at the Tri Nations event against

 

teams from South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. Tony and Heather Masters will not go to Namibia so Gaewyn Churchill will step in as a 4th rider.

 

They are being extremely well looked after and are doing lots of touristy things, including abseiling down a large cliff a day or so ago!!
